Boghaisín na bhFocal

Boghaisín na bhFocal is a set of games for early years reading. There are two CD-ROMs in the package, one for the teacher (7 games) and one for the students (9 games).

Boghaisín na bhFocal includes such games as bingo, dice, cards, matching, noughts and crosses, snakes and ladders, etc.; some games are played on the computer screen while others can be printed out. Students can play solitaire games, games for two, games for small groups, or games for the whole class.

There are more than 3,000 words and phrases used in the games, drawn from the books most commonly used in schools, and recorded in three dialects. They are organised into six levels of ability, and word lists based on level or even individual books can be selected for the games. The teachers can also create their own word lists.
